We often say that the only skill a volunteer needs is the desire to learn! Even if you have little experience, are looking to create lifelong connections, or want to give back to your community, there is a place for you.

Positions are open to individuals 18 and older, except for certain shows that have roles for children open to ages 10 and above.

Most volunteer positions can fit with your schedule with daytime, weekend, and evening times available. However, many production aspects require more consistent and long-term commitments.

If you would like to become involved, it’s easy: fill out our Volunteer/Membership Form which lets us know your area(s) of interest and your availability. Then return the completed form to us via mail or email, and we’ll take it from there.

Please contact Jill Dickert with any questions at jill@racinetheatre.org or (262) 633-4218.

Yes – even our actors and actresses are volunteers! The Racine Theatre Guild has open auditions throughout the season and experience is not required. Plays consist of cold readings while musicals you must prepare a song and do a dance audition as well. Scripts are available to check-out from the Box Office for a $10 deposit.

Click here for a list of future auditions.

Don’t miss out on any auditions! Sign-up for our auditions email list!

To help ensure the health of our patrons, as well as the safety of our volunteers and staff, the Theatre Guild has implemented the following policies:

  • The Theatre Guild will require that all actors and production crews be fully vaccinated. As a result, this means that all children’s roles will be open to kids 12 and above who are vaccinated until a time the vaccine becomes available for those 10 and older.
  • Under the current City of Racine mask mandate, masks will be required to be worn by all patrons, visitors and volunteers regardless of vaccination status, unless actively performing on stage. While front of house volunteers and patrons do not have to be vaccinated, they will be required to wear a mask.

The Racine Theatre Guild has always felt that the health and safety of its volunteers and patrons is our highest priority. The board and staff will do whatever we can to keep our theatre family safe in these uncertain times. As part of the greater Racine community the Guild needs to do its part to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

All restrictions are subject to review and change by the COVID-19 Taskforce, based on recommendations by the CDC and the Racine Health Department.
