Overview

Jack Worthing resides in the country. Algernon Moncrieff in the city. Yet, they share a common solution to escape the humdrum moments of their lives by creating imaginary people. Jack pretends to be his own philandering brother, Ernest, and Algernon has a sickly friend, Bunbury, on the cusp of death at any moment. Living a double life does have its drawbacks, especially when it comes to love. Hoping to impress two eligible ladies, the gentlemen find themselves caught in an overly complicated charade with witty dialogue, romantic notions, and ridiculous charm in a masterful comedy that has wooed audiences for over 130 years!
