Stepping Stone Theater (founded by Second City Mainstage alumni, Julia Morales) is happy to bring friends from all over the Chicago comedy community to Racine for a night of laughs. This hilarious show will include some incredible talent who have performed at the Second City, iO Theater, and the Annoyance Theater just to name a few. Bring your friends, family, and get ready to join in on the fun because this show runs on your participation. The best comedy isn’t one-dimensional. The best comedy is innovative, unique, educational, and fun! More people learning means more people discovering their potential. Our curriculum will focus on learning our diverse comedy history, being innovative, and achieving artistic excellence. It’s important that everyone involved in this incredible art form is educated in aspects that infrequently receive the recognition it deserves. Laughter and artistic expression are proven to be therapeutic.
The name Stepping Stone Theater is intentional. We are meant to be a “stepping stone” for our performers on their way to greatness. We want to provide unique resources to help our community. We want our students and performers to grow, move on to bigger and better things, and keep paying it forward.

Stepping Stone Theater Improv Workshop
You may have heard the concept of "yes, and" but do you really know what it means? Stepping Stone Theater is bringing out the fun and games for an hour long workshop for improv beginners at 5 p.m. to get a taste of what Chicago comedy is all about. Join us as we take you through a sample of some of the basics fundamentals of improv. No worries about your improv experience. We'll take care of you! All you have to do is bring a good attitude and get ready to have some fun!
