Celebrate the unique people and cultures of Racine with RTG Community Days, beginning with Hispanic Heritage Month once again in 2025!
The free, performance based, open-house event will bring together the community and introduce or reintroduce them to RTG and arts throughout the area. In October, RTG will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!
Jaquelín Villa and Ricky Garcia are a family of talented mariachi singers, bringing the vibrant sounds of traditional Mexican music to life together. They have performed locally at St. Rita’s and St. Patrick’s festivals, plus made appearances in the 4th Fest Parade and regional music and cultural celebrations.
Grupo La Perla Tapatía USA, a folklórico group, will be performing dances that weave together a tapestry of the myths, legends, tales, and traditions through their costumes and footwork. Kids will be invited on stage to learn a few steps and join in the fun! The group brings together children and families of the community, sharing their Guadalajara, Jalisco roots.
Artwork from students in The Prairie School’s Hispanic Heritage Club will also be on display in the lobby.

Celebra las personas y culturas únicas de Racine con los Días Comunitarios RTG, comenzando nuevamente con el Mes de la Herencia Hispana en 2025, el domingo 12 de octubre a las 2 p.m.
El evento gratuito de puertas abiertas y basado en presentaciones reunirá a la comunidad y les presentará o introducirá a RTG y las artes en toda el área. ¡En octubre, RTG celebrará el Mes de la Herencia Hispana!
Jaquelín Villa y Ricky García son una familia de talentosos cantantes de mariachi que dan vida a los vibrantes sonidos de la música tradicional mexicana. Han presentado en los festivales locales de Santa Rita y San Patricio, además de apariciones en el Desfile de 4th Fest y celebraciones musicales y culturales regionales.
Grupo La Perla Tapatía USA, un grupo folklórico, presentará danzas que tejen un tapiz de mitos, leyendas, cuentos y tradiciones a través de sus trajes y juego de pies. ¡Se invitará a los niños a subir al escenario para aprender algunos pasos y unirse a la diversión! El grupo reúne a niños y familias de la comunidad, compartiendo sus raíces de Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Las obras de arte de los estudiantes del Club de Herencia Hispana de The Prairie School también estarán en exhibición en el vestíbulo.
