I Remember it Well: The Music of Lerner and Loewe

The Racine Theatre Guild will be holding open auditions for the final Signature Spotlight concert of the season, “I Remember it Well: The Music of Lerner and Loewe,” on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Sunday, April 26 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Holy Communion Lutheran Church.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Over three decades, Alan Jay Lerner and Fredrick Loewe brought nine timeless musicals to the stage, including “Brigadoon,” “My Fair Lady,” “Gigi,” and “Camelot.” The team of librettist-lyricist Lerner and composer Loewe came to define the golden era of musicals with their wit and glamour. The duo helped shape the landscape of American musical theater with songs like “Almost Like Being in Love,” “If Ever I Would Leave You,” and “I Could Have Danced All Night.”

The concert will be a showcase of excerpts from the shows of Lerner and Loewe as well as those shows in which Lerner collaborated with others (e.g. Royal Wedding,  On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, etc.).

Those interested in auditioning MUST sign-up for an 10-minute time slot by calling (262) 633-4218 or emailing boxoffice@racinetheatre.org.
