A Guild Christmas Special
The Racine Theatre Guild will be holding open auditions for the Signature Spotlight Concert, “A Guild Christmas Special,” on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 6 – 9 p.m.
ABOUT THE SHOW
An annual celebration of good tidings, yuletide music, and holiday cheer through new carols and traditional favorites. Experience a touching journey through beloved holiday classics and classics to be. Join the tradition of welcoming the spirit of the season through quippy anecdotes, heartwarming melodies, and toe-tapping tunes all in the cozy warmth of the Racine Theatre Guild. Celebrating all things merry and bright!

Singers/ CASTING INFO
Director Edson Melendez is strong singers, ages 18 and above, for this cabaret performing as soloists. In addition, one Spotlight Star, a local high schooler freshman through senior, will be featured as part of the concert and can audition as well. No duets for the auditions will be accepted; however, the director may be programming duets for those who are chosen to perform.
AUDITION INFORMATION
Individuals of all levels of experience and backgrounds are invited to audition. Performers must sign-up for an audition time and should bring sheet music for two songs that fit the style and genre of music. Be prepared to sing the pieces you’d like to perform in keys that best reflect your voice type.
An accompanist will be provided or auditionees can have provide backtracks through a link or device that can be connected via Bluetooth.
The director will choose either one or both of the songs that individuals audition with and may assign new songs for the concert as well. Performers must audition as soloists – no duets/trios/quartets. All songs should be performance ready.
Schedules
Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsals will only take place the week of December 14 – 17, 2025. Performers will be required to attend a coaching with the director prior to the rehearsal process. Coachings will be scheduled based on director/performer availability.
Performance: Thursday, December 18 at 7 pm
