OVERVIEW

High society playboy Bertie Wooster and his school chum, Eustace, hatch a plan to save Bertie from an undesirable marriage and Eustace from a faraway job in India. Will Bertie’s ever-faithful and all-knowing manservant Jeeves be able to rescue these bumbling fools from themselves? This delightfully British romp is a tribute to the beloved comic characters of P.G. Wodehouse, full of deception and disguise.

RON HALVORSEN (Jeeves) is playing a British butler/valet for the third time having appeared as Jarvis in Lone Star Love Potion and Perkins in TheAmorous Ambassador. A 29 year veteran of the Racine Theatre Guild, he has served in virtually every volunteer position, and was named volunteer of the year in 2004. His recent stage roles include the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show, John Campbell in Be My Baby, St. Clair in Glorious! and Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34^th Street. A retired attorney, he’s acted professionally at other venues and regularly portrays Lincoln’s law partner, William Herndon, at Kenosha’s Civil War Museum. Ron says it’s a pleasure to be a part of this great cast and crew.

MIKE KISHLINE (Bertie Wooster) in less than nine years has compiled an extensive resume that includes 16 stage appearances, lastly as Sir Robin in Spamalot. On top of numerous crew positions, Mike is currently chairing our play reading committee and heading up the Comedy Tonight ushering crew with his lovely wife, Rebecca. Along with several other RTG volunteers, he took up running three years ago. He has since covered over 1,500 miles, completed two half-marathons, and is now pursuing his latest challenge of running 1,000 miles in 2016. Mike is employed by Carthage College, his alma mater, as a web developer.

ERIC WELCH (Eustace Bassington-Bassington) (Hair/Makeup) appeared as Neleus and Von Hussler in Mary Poppins, Prince Herbert and Not Yet Dead Fred in Spamalot and was Frank ‘N’ Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. He was also in Les Miserables, Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, Guys and Dolls, Scrooge, HONK!, and A Christmas Story. Last season he was Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods for the Lakeside Players. Eric often styles hair and makeup for our shows and served as a makeup chair for The Marvelous Wonderettes, Almost, Maine and Spelling Bee. Now that he’s made a giant career move to shipping clerk for Great Lakes Skipper, styling hair is a hobby and no longer his profession.

EMILY MUELLER (Aunt Agatha Spencer-Gregson) was last seen on our stage as Marie in Calendar Girls (2015) and last ‘unseen’ in the booth as a sound tech for Dixie Swim Club. She’s previously played in 37 Postcards, A Bad Year for Tomatoes, The Supporting Cast, Over the Tavern, Vikings, Sylvia and Inspecting Carol. A circuit court judge for the past 23 years, Emily toured area schools with our outreach team for Twelve Angry Jurors. Offstage, she is our long-standing auditions chair, and has served as president of the board, house manager, and as a member of wardrobe and make-up crews and the play reading committee. In her hometown of Manitowoc, she co-founded the Peter Quince Performing Company, an all-student summer musical theatre group that celebrated its 47th season this summer.

ANNE MOLLERSKOV (Gertrude Winklesworth-Bode) was last seen on our stage as Missy in The Marvelous Wonderettes. Starting with You Can’t Take It With You in 2008, she’s since had roles in RTG’s Guys and Dolls, Side by Side by Sondheim, Dearly Departed, Godspell, The Producers, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Doubt, The Rocky Horror Show, The Miracle Worker and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Add to that her roles for Racine Children’s Theatre and you’ve got quite a collection. She was an asst. stage manager for Les Miserables and I Do! I Do! She appeared with Lakeside Players as Lucy in Avenue Q and The Witch in Into the Woods. Anne has studied oboe, piano, dance and voice. In 2005 she spent a month in Rome performing the title role in Puccini’s Suar Angelica. For over ten years she’s been employed by the RUSD as a music teacher.

MIKE SHELBY (Sir Rupert Watlington-Pipps) landed his first RTG role 20 years ago in A Few Good Men. Since then, he’s had roles in over 20 plays and musicals, lately Calendar Girls, 37 Postcards, The Three Musketeers, A Nice Family Gathering, and Elvis Has Left The Building. There are very few stages in this area unknown to him. He’s commuted all the way to Memories Dinner Theater in Port Washington for four shows in the last two years, was the Father of the Bride in Waukesha in June, and in August, portrayed King Arthur in West Bend’s production of Spamalot. He’s played a murderer and murder victim, a pirate, twin brothers, a ghost, a drunken Santa, women, a cardinal, Dr. Watson and Col. Tom Parker. Mike was a detective for 20 of his 34 years on the Racine Police Department, retiring in 2009.

CREW

DOUG INSTENES (Director) had been associate director at RTG for eight years before moving up to the top staff position in 2001. He has an MA in Drama (directing emphasis) from UW-Superior and an MFA in Theatre from Ohio University. Before landing at RTG, he worked at Arena Stage in DC, Monomoy Theatre in Ohio, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, St. Croix Valley Theatre, The Great American Children’s Theatre, and DanceCircus. Doug is married to Kim, an associate professor at Carthage College. They have just become empty-nesters, as son Dalen, a high school volleyball standout, heads to Lewis University in the fall and daughter Lauren begins her third year at Wittenberg University in Ohio.

LORI RUSS (PSM/Props Mentor/Production Meal) has had 12 main-stage and 27 crew positions. She was last seen on-stage as Martha Brand in Design for Murder. She also ushers, house manages, paints sets, works in the box office, and organizes people to pose nude for charity calendars. It’s no wonder she was volunteer of the year in 2012. When she’s not at the Theatre Guild she works at BRP US Inc., and is a grandmother to Caden who she loves more than words.

BOB HANSEN (Stage Manager) is an experienced technician, stage manager, asst. stage manager, wardrobe runner, props chair and head usher, but he’s mostly known for his stage roles in The Wizard of Oz, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Music Man, Scrooge,Guys and Dolls, Miracle on 34^th Street, Treasure Island and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He also appeared in a couple of Packy Plays and UW-Parkside’s Fiddler on the Roof. Bob formerly served as secretary of our board and on play reading committee. He recently retired from RUSD AFTER 16 years of teaching. He enjoys participating in team trivia with his family (The Danish Inquisition).

SARAH HUNT-FRANK (Set Design) loves working with the people of RTG. She lives in Wauwatosa with her husband, two teenage daughters, and a golden collie, named Joji. Sarah has designed such shows as The Producers, Sound of Music, Spamalot, Doubt, Chicago, 37 Postcards, Dixie Swim Club, Arsenic and Old Lace, and the award-winning design of Don’t Cry For Me Margaret Mitchell.

J.R. TRIMARK (ASM) recently started his RTG career in the run crew for Design for Murder but has an extensive theatre background, both on-stage and off. J.R. has been a part of numerous productions at the Rhode, RG Audio Productions, Spotlight Youth Theatre and Christ the King Community Church. When he is not at a theater, J.R enjoys reading, science fiction and spending time with his family. J.R. works at SC Johnson, is husband to Betty and father to Hannah and Makayla.

ERIN BARNLUND (Props) was last seen as in the ensemble of Mary Poppins and as a nun in The Sound of Music. She is very excited to be returning for another RTG show and looking forward to working on the crew.

JANET PETRIK (Sound Design) started in sound design with The Gamester in 2008 after she retired as IT Manager at Walker Mfg./Tenneco Automotive. Her sound credits are more than 20 shows including Design for Murder, Mary Poppins, Doubt, Glorious! and Deathtrap. She was a member of the play reading committee in 2009 and chaired it in 2010. Janet is a violinist in UW-Parkside’s community orchestra. She likes to read, golf, bike ride and garden.

KEVIN EDMONSTON (Sound Tech) started volunteering at RTG on props crews for Lettice and Lovage in 1995. Since then he’s most often been a lighting designer and was chair of lighting for several seasons. He’s had three brief appearances on stage as an extra and, in Hotbed Hotel, as the sheik’s double. Kevin is the main technician at his church, Franksville United Methodist. At Jockey International, he is a senior technical analyst supporting the retail stores and dealing with payment card security and compliance. He is married to Terri and they have a daughter, Hailey.

BRIAN HRPCEK (Light Design) designed lights for Design for Murder, Sound of Music, Miracle Worker, Spelling Bee, Les Miserables, A Night at the Nutcracker, Suite Surrender and Almost, Maine and helped to light The Rocky Horror Show. Brian is technical director for theatre departments at Park and Horlick High Schools. He’s a theatre major at UW-Parkside and on changeover crew for Fireside Dinner Theatre. Though he’s no longer employed by the Boy Scouts, he remains a Scout leader.

DONNA NIELSEN (Light Tech), another Maccanelli Award winner, has been a Racine Theatre Guild volunteer since the 1991-92 season and works virtually every show in some capacity. You will often see her in the box office or as a house manager. You don’t often see Donna on stage, but you can see her in the RTG calendar. She’s obsessed with her grandchildren, Abigail, Leo, Hazel and Elizabeth.

SHARON MOLINA (Costume Design / Wardrobe Run Crew) season chair of costumes, often tackles shows with large casts. She is multi-talented and versatile, which is why she was a recipient of the Maccanelli Award in 2010. When she’s not at RTG, she’s probably with her grandchildren, who range in age from 1 – 21 years old.

LAUREN LAMOREAUX (Costume Design / Wardrobe Run Crew) had her first role at RTG in Mary Poppins. Originally from Michigan, she has graced stages in the Detroit area with memorable roles such as Emma Carew in Jekyll & Hyde, Betty Blake in Will Rogers Follies, Sarah Goldman in Beau Jest, and several others. She has also had the honor of being on directing teams for shows such as Jesus Christ, Superstar, Hello Dolly!, Aida, Footloose the Musical, Aladdin Jr., Honk!, and more.

ASHLEY MULDER (Costume Design / Wardrobe Run Crew) has a BA in vocal performance and was in five RTG shows: Mary Poppins (2015), Spamalot (2015), Almost, Maine (2014), The Producers (2009), and Beauty and the Beast (2008). She also played Rapunzel in Into the Woods for the Lakeside Players, Mrs. Banks in Standing Ovation Theatre Academy’s production of Mary Poppins and was guest artist at the Racine Symphony’s 2014 Holiday Pops concert.

SUSAN SANDVICK (Marketing/Development) is the new Director of Marketing and Development but years ago she played a dwarf, flower, mock turtle, beetle, dog and princess with Racine Theatre Guild’s Junior Production Company. Since graduating from UWSP (Go Point!) she interned in DC, worked in Milwaukee and Chicago, and is happy to be back in Racine working at RTG. To prepare for his role, Ron tried to be Sue’s personal valet but he quit after one day.

TERI KARPINSKI (Business Manager) spent 10 years as the RTG’s Box Office Manager before taking over her new duties last season. Teri and her husband Will are also on an ushering crew, and have a theatrical dog, Wanda, who has been in numerous RTG productions. When not at the RTG, Teri plays the role of grandma to Anthony.

TINA PAUKSTELIS (Season Ticket Coordinator) graduated from UW-Parkside with a degree in theatre and has spent two years working in the RTG box office. RTG audiences have seen her in The Glass Menagerie and Dancing at Lughnasa. She performed last season in 6th Street’s production of God of Carnage.

CHRIS REINHARDT (Technical Director), completing his third season at RTG, is from Wisconsin, but his previous theatre jobs were in New England at the Dorset Theater Festival, Portland Stage Company and Winnipesaukee Playhouse. Along with his technical responsibilities, Chris has designed two RTG productions, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and The Marvelous Wonderettes.
