OVERVIEW

This adaption, supported by a lyrical score, focuses on the humor, warmth and emotional intensity of Katherine Paterson’s Newbery Award-winning novel. Jesse, alienated from the pragmatism of his family and rural Virginia culture, draws and dreams of becoming something special. Leslie, the new girl from the city and the ultimate outsider, opens a world of imagination, art and literature for him. Together they create Terabithia, a fantasy kingdom where they are safe from those who don’t understand them. Their friendship grows as Jesse’s world expands. When tragedy strikes, the strength gained in Terabithia takes Jesse forward on his own.

JR TRIMARK (Mr. Aarons) recently started his RTG career behind the scenes for Jeeves Intervenes (ASM) and Design for Murder but has an extensive theatre background, both on-stage and off.  J.R. has been a part of numerous productions at the Rhode, RG Audio Productions, Spotlight Youth Theatre and Christ the King Community Church. With math and science being her favorite classes, it’s apparent that Anne takes her studies seriously, earning her place in Scholastic Challenge 2014 and 2015. She has a fun-loving, adventurous side that craves travel, particularly to ski areas, where she gravitates to the black-diamond slopes, which are more difficult. Her other athletic pursuits include soccer, volleyball, basketball and track.

LAUREN LAMOREAUX (Ms. Edmunds) had her first role at RTG in Mary Poppins and enjoyed it so much that she signed up to design costumes for Jeeves Intervenes.  Originally from Michigan, she has graced stages in the Detroit area with memorable roles such as Emma Carew in Jekyll & Hyde, Betty Blake in Will Rogers Follies, Sarah Goldman in Beau Jest, and several others. She has also had the honor of being on directing teams for shows such as Jesus Christ, Superstar, Hello Dolly!, Aida, Footloose the Musical, Aladdin Jr., Honk!, and more.

XANDER NILES (Gary Fulcher) may only be in 5th grade but he is already the co-owner of Inferno Blaze, a custom wood-burned design company (look for them on Facebook!).  This may be Xander’s first time on the RTG stage but he has performed for years for Carols by Candlelight, an annual Christmas production at Living Light Christian Church.  He aspires to be a chef and have his own Food Network Show one day.

GRACE ZIEGLER (Janice Avery) is a 7th grader at Union Grove Middle School and is excited to be appearing in Bridge to Terabithia.  In addition to acting, Grace plays baritone and enjoys swimming, biking, volleyball and art.  When she grows up, Grace wants to be a baker or a dolphin trainer.

ARYANA FLORES (Girl 2) is an honor roll student at Trinity Lutheran who loves being awesome and silly.  She is a 5th grader who enjoys gymnastics, ballet, cheerleading and volunteering.  Past theatrical roles include Hercules, Marked, Young Grrl and Mary.  Her likes include: cats, being awesome, Plants vs. Zombies.  Dislikes: BBQ sauce – because it smells weird.

JACOB CLEMONS (Boy 2) is excited to be performing at RTG after taking summer classes here.  A 5th grader at Red Apple Elementary school, Jacob has received a “Kid of Character Award” every year.  He has also received several blue ribbons at Red Apple’s STEAM Fair.  Jacob enjoys swimming, reading, drawing, eating chocolate and spending time with his family.
