MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR & BOX OFFICE ASSISTANT
The Racine Theatre Guild, a volunteer-based community theatre, is seeking a part-time membership coordinator and a box office assistant. Applicants must have strong communication, computer, clerical, problem solving, organizational, and mathematical skills. The Membership Coordinator’s main duties involve recruiting and supporting RTG volunteers and members. The Box Office Assistant is responsible for selling/processing tickets, and handling patron concerns during performances. Depending on interest and availability, applicants can apply for one or both positions. Start date ASAP.

Primarily responsible for recruiting, training, retaining, and celebrating Racine Theatre Guild volunteers and members.
- Recruitment: Increase volunteer and membership numbers and engagement through outreach, events, and target initiatives, working closely with the Director of Marketing/Development
- Retention: Strengthen volunteer and member retention and relationships by encouraging ongoing participation
- Recognition: Develop and implement strategies to celebrate contributions and milestones
- Staffing Support: Assist with volunteer scheduling for performances and events
- Database Management: Maintain the volunteer and member database, track participation, and generate reports
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between volunteers, staff, and board members
- Training: Coordinate training programs, update volunteer roles, and facilitate onboarding for new volunteers and members
- Membership Events: Organize membership-focused gatherings, such as open houses, holiday celebrations, and recognition dinners
Box Office Assistant
Primarily responsible for box office operations during Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday performances of the Racine Theatre Guild mainstage series and Racine Children’s Theatre. The number of hours varies with performance schedule.
- Report 90 minutes prior to curtain and stay through intermission. Note: some days have multiple performances.
- Reserve, sell, and exchange tickets to all RTG productions and events through an online system. This includes individual ticket sales as well as season tickets and gift certificates.
- Act as receptionist, bringing in mail, answering phones, taking messages, returning calls, checking e-mail and resolving patrons’ concerns.
- Assist with data entry, copying, filing, and other clerical tasks as needed.
Roles are flexible, offering 20 to 28 hours per week. Over time, other duties may be added or deleted as staffing needs of the Racine Theatre Guild change.
COMPENSATION: Part-time, hourly – $17/hour
